PhD Candidate, RMIT University

Evrim is first generation Turkish-Australian creative and community builder, with a focus on advocacy. They have nine years of experience as an organisational leader and facilitator in the community sector, with a unique passion for broadcasting and podcast production. Currently they are completing their PhD in Arts Management at RMIT, uncovering 21st Century Employability Skills in Youth Arts programs with podcasting as a method for action research.


Empowerment for some doesn’t mean all are included in the process, and it’s easy to take for granted the ways or working and we engage with in research. I think that the Vital Arts project reflects these values deeply, inclusion is a practical process of ongoing engagement.. Small shifts mean more participants can attend, asking the right questions opens doors to new opportunities
